ALICIA R. THOMAS
Passionate about art and creative expression from a young age, Georgia-based artist and photographer Alicia R. Thomas (ARThomas) has been creating pieces professionally since 2005. Specializing in character design and portraiture, Alicia has a well-rounded resume including a blue ribbon for exceptional art, gallery exhibits in America and Japan, publications in pop-culture magazines, and more. With an avid interest in the Japanese “visual kei” music scene since 2002, Alicia launched the “Visual KEIOS” web-magazine in 2010, taking up the roles of editor-in-chief and live photographer. In February 2020, she released her first instrumental mini-album, titled “Broken Cycle” and in the summer of 2020, she fused her passions for art, music, and writing to launch her own brand design business, helping entrepreneurs, influencers and content creators build a genuine connection with their audience through branding that captures their individuality.
Enjoying the life of branding for her clients, Alicia reexplores her creative roots and seeks more inspiration through frequent travels overseas in preparation for a big exhibition.
Debut Mini-Album "Broken Cycle"
Alicia’s exploration with music production began a decade prior, the peak of it being when she produced original music for her youtube channel in 2016, but it was 2020 when she compiled her works to release her first mini-album.
Virtual Assistant to Brand Designer
While working online as an artist, Alicia developed many companion skills, from writing to graphics to web development, using those skills as a virtual assistant, she soon transitioned to brand identity design services, helping businesses to launch or redesign in a way that reflects their personalities and values.
Music Journalism Visual KEIOS
Passionate about Japanese rock and fashion from her teens, Alicia launched her web magazine Visual KEIOS in 2010 to highlight the Visual Kei genre. With over 1200 posts, and more than 100 exclusive interviews, Visual KEIOS was accredited to cover events in the US, Canada, France and Japan.
Publication & Galleries
Featured in publications including NewType USA, Shonen Jump & Shojou Beat as well as anime conventions Anime Weekend Atlanta and San Japan. Alicia would soon display her art in The Hampton’s Fine Art Gallery and claim a blue ribbon for exceptional art.
